DeLuna Fest 2011

I'm passing on some info on a festival created to help out Pensacola after that nasty little oil spill last year. I figure all you people who don't mind being gross and dirty in the name of music might like an excuse to blow town for a few days at the height of Mother Nature's lovliest season.

After the BP oil spill decimated tourism all along the Gulf Coast, Five Flags Tourism Group stepped in to help the city of Pensacola, FL recover with DeLuna Fest. For three days in October, America's Original Beach Party hosted the likes of Willie Nelson, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Stone Temple Pilots, Michael Franti, The Submarines, and many more. The inaugural event exceeded even FFTG's wildest expectations, and the overwhelming support for Pensacola Beach and the entire Gulf Coast brought a much needed economic shot in the arm for local businesses.

DeLuna Fest is back again for another 3 days this October, and FFTG have some big announcements to make regarding DeLuna today. The press conference will be streaming live on www.delunafest.com at 3:15 EST/12:15 PST
