Warm In The Wake's Speak Plainly EP

I honestly think that Warm In The Wake is one of the best things happening in Atlanta . . . er, Decatur, as of late. The guys parted ways with Livewire Recordings when the label went under and had full creative control over their new EP that came out a little over a week ago. It's called Speak Plainly and it's pretty fuggin' awesome. You can go to their website and either get the EP for free by forwarding it to three friends or you can make a contribution, Radiohead-style, of your liking and get the album that way. Either way, it's worth the money and time. I chatted with the band a few weeks ago regarding the new EP and their parting with Livewire. You can read the article on Paste Magazine's homepage this week or check it out by clicking here.

In other news, I saw The Silver Jews and Monotonix. The latter is probably the craziest thing to ever come out of Tel Aviv. Pics and a live review are posted here.
