Kate Nash at the Variety.

So, I'm a little behind with this, but I saw Kate Nash play at Variety Tuesday night, and it was pretty amazing. Despite the fact that I was surrounded by 13-year-old girls and their moms, it was a good time. Nash definitely knows how to connect with her crowd and bring a good live show. From "Shit Song" in the beginning of the set, to a new song about the ocean, I couldn't take my eyes or ears off her for a second. There's something very refreshing about watching a girl sing about a "Dickhead" and having an entire audience sing along with her. Her vocals were amazingly right on, to the point where I immediately gained a ton of respect based on the similarity of the live show to her recorded sound.

Two thumbs up! This is the beginning of the tour, so if you're outside of Atlanta, check her website and make sure you're there to see her. Hopefully you're not in one of those cities that's already sold out...
