Topher's Last Solaris?

This is some cool stuff! The Music Addict forwarded me an email from a reader about this cool clip below. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of the "Dark Side of Oz" theory (where Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and The Wizard of Oz match up). This time around the synchronicity gives more of a "neato!" reaction rather than "rad!" (Also before I go on, other blogs and what not mention this same theory, so I am in no way taking this as my discovery!)

The Lightning Bug Situation's "Topher's Last Song" and "Pitter Patter" (off their album A Leaf; A Stem) appears to be in perfect unison with the 1972 Russian film, Solyaris (or Solaris). Syncing songs of the present with films of the past are rare to find, but really cool to watch. Instead of hearing "the lunatic is on the grass" in "Brain Damage" when the Scarecrow's on the grass like Oz, it starts to rain in Solaris when the lyrics state, "here come the rain" in "Pitter Patter." And to answer your question dear reader, this does not appear to be a hoax. :-)

Watch and enjoy!
